Coming around more on Kathryn Newton in this one, but really only once she's in vampire form. Those few minutes are great! Love the amount of blood in this.
We don't talk enough about how hot Melissa Barrera is. They cover her in blood in this and she just keeps being gorgeous. All of these characters should be doing whatever she says, it's not fair!

This is the kind of movie that makes me miss traditional hand-drawn animation. The grit and texture of these scenarios wouldn't work in a more sleek, modern medium. Colors I adore wrapped up in the eyes of heroes that just can't seem to get it right. This one was really cool!

Not quite offensively bad in the same way as Promising Young Woman, but this film still seems to have a similar issue with being an unrealistic and cartoonish version of how these events would actually play out. It already felt like it was all meticulously planned out by a writer while thinking "gosh I'm so clever," but the montage of Oliver explaining his evil plan to the audience in the final act really got a laugh out of me.
