  This film reminded me of Whiplash, perhaps because of the obsessive pursuit of perfection. This film makes us follow the character of Nina, an obsessed, scolded, melancholic girl who wants to become something she is not. It's really disturbing to see the character's evolution and how she gets worse over time. The strange relationship she has with her mother, the jealousy she has towards her "friend", the strange relationship she has with Thomas, all this contributes to Nina's insanity, which makes her fall into madness and commit atrocities.
