  This was cute! Delivered on being a lighthearted comedy with cool costumes. As far as the story goes, it was expectedly VERY predictable. I absolutely adore Kaitlyn Dever and will watch anything she's in though

  I REALLY liked this film, something about it just felt like my taste. The dialogue is incredibly dry and just witty enough, some people may deem it too abstract but I didn’t mind. The camera work, color and composition made me very excited to watch more Wes Anderson.

  Such a genuine representation of Ghibli’s message is found in this film. Life, death, love and forgiveness were recurring themes I felt. Much like other Ghibli works it utilizes the abstract to tell a story, and has a lot of heart in general.  The most honest depiction of war I’ve seen from Miyazaki yet, though I haven’t seen all his works.

Following
