It’s just the choices of Dolan are so different, so unique. Every shot of every scene is him showing an odd way of showing things, weather it’s the light, the surreal slow motion the clips within the film, the out of focus on windows, the focus on real small items, the cuts are some of the things that make Dolan so great.

I love the approach to such a tabu theme. Laurence anyways is an honest and desserved potrayal to marginalized people, not just transsexual people. Dolan gives us once again his magic touch with some amazing scenes where he litteraly takes us to another dimension.
