Comedy gold during. Black History Month. Was it cringy yes but there was a level of self-awareness in the cringe that made it bearable and hilarious.

I love the musical and have seen it on Broadway. This movie was way too long. I was fidgeting in my seat. Also, no one in the theatre was singing, which was just disgraceful for an evening movie this late into the movie's run.
The munchkin's racism was also appalling; who cheers on someone's death and makes a float of them just to burn it? I know she wasn’t liked, but damn, I don’t know if she was THAT wicked.…

Show makes me stressed - 20 minutes in and I wanted to turn it off from the second hand embarrassment. The jokes were crude, predictable and just not funny.
The scenes with the main girl and the love interest also just reminded me of the Amelia Dimoldenberg interviews which also are very awkward.
Also how did the guy just forgive her out of no where. That entire couple was useless and none of this movie made any sense.One positive…
