How do you even pitch this movie? No wonder it took 4 years to make. It’s so full, running rampant with symbols that just won’t slow the fuck down long enough for you to actually process them before the next comes running in. The soundtrack of increasingly dissonant tones that ramp higher and higher made my ears bleed but also lulled me into a state where that tidal wave of symbolism could wash over me. You have to bring yourself to this one, it won’t be making any concessions for you.

I was just gonna write GAY LOVE PENTANGLE!!! And call it a day, but then I started reading some of the more negative reviews on here and it feels like y’all watched a different movie than me.
This whole thing felt like a very specific and desperate kind of half-love, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s ‘loveless’. Each character just needs love, but there is something impairing them from finding a love that doesn’t get confused…
