From a storytelling perspective, it was well done. However, as a fan, I really wish the plot had gone differently. It felt more like a work of art than it did entertainment.

Purple Rain 1984
Purple Rain gives insight into Prince’s upbringing and some of the context surrounding his most famous songs. While some of the acting was subpar, and lines often seemed a bit unrealistic, all was forgiven by the sheer mind boggling beauty of Apollonia Kotero. That’s right— her boobs look so nice in this film that they could’ve gotten an end credit. Hot woman, great music, great movie.
