  Watch it twice, preferably looking up some kind of explanation/breakdown between viewings.

  A marvelous film, translating subconscious and thoughts into their physical manifestation is no easy task, and Kaufman does it uncannily well. Thoroughly enjoyed this film, Kaufman didn't disappoint my extremely high expectations of him.
