  ”This great evil. Where does it come from? How'd it steal into the world? What seed, what root did it grow from? Who's doin' this? Who's killin' us? Robbing us of life and light. Mockin' us with the sight of what we might've known. Does our ruin benefit the earth? Does it help the grass to grow, the sun to shine?”

  After watching, I found myself wondering if conflict and destruction of each other is human nature. Ivy naturally strangles…

  Call Me by Your Name 2017

  If the goal of this film was to make you want to reinvent your wardrobe in upper class 1980s clothing and spend a summer in northern Italy eating apricots, swimming in rivers, and smoking cigarettes after an outdoor dinner; it succeeded. The aesthetics of the film were certainly pleasing although the storyline lost me. I have a tendency to stay away from movies that are centred around romantic conflict which is why i was mostly uninterested with the plot. That being said, it was entertaining to observe a different family dynamic than what i would be used to with a fairly touching ending—
  3 stars.
