  the storytelling is a little messy and it makes it a little boring at times because they don’t take advantage of creating moments of awe and anchorage with all the stabbing and stalking and blood, but it has fun moments!!! 
  mainly alba baptista steals the spotlight for me and i love her for it. ray nicholson does have his father's smile. and it’s always lovely to see samara weaving covered in blood!
  also, shoutout to the wonderful music in this movie!!!

  i don‘t know who was having more fun: me, brian cox saying homophobic slurs or parker posey playing an 80s occultist bitch.
  this honestly was so unserious and so funny, i love when horror is dumb!!!
