    Peak once again.
My mom was NOT a fan tho

The subject matter is obviously super interesting to me, and it just hits the exact niche I love. The cinematography is some of the best I’ve seen, and the tension in nearly every seen makes it so intriguing and terrifying.

The general lack of a score also feeds into the tension, hardly relenting safe for the forest fire scene, which is just gorgeous.

The fact that it rarely delineates which side is “good” or “bad” serves the story so much better than an explicit narrative.

Genuinely one of my all time favorites. Perfect cinematography imo, but I’ll go in depth next time cause I’m tired asf.

2nd favorite movie in the franchise. The Russian guy that yelled in my ear really elevated the experience for me.

Snows character was done incredibly well, and I was surprised at how much I initially liked him, even after watching the other movies.

I will say that it went on a little long, but I feel like overall the pacing was done well, and I was really invested in the characters.

I think that the conclusion of the original series made sense, and I don’t really have too many things that I didn’t enjoy with this one, but I just didn’t find myself as invested as the last 3, especially Mockingjay Part 1.

I’m glad it wrapped up for the characters well, but it just felt like whiplash every time they used the “they’re dead” card, and was a little overdone in my opinion.

I really liked how they concluded Peetas story however, and overall I feel like the characters were well done, and their motivations and actions made sense.
