  Thought I’d be triggered by this via my religious trauma but was actually triggered by all of the hours I suffered philosophy/theology majors monologuing at me. 

  At the 3/4 mark, I realized it had happened again: I was begrudgingly in a conversation that had been derailed by a man who just wanted to listen to himself speak. 

  Honestly was really into it for its originality at the beginning, but it lost me so fast. Mr. Reed is a self-insert, so just fucking spare me.

  I see where we were going with this one, but it just didn’t follow through like I wanted it to. More commitment was needed one way another, to honor the worlds that were made or the allegory Jane was going for. It ended up feeling pretentious and half-baked by the end.

  Wee-oo wee-oo puff piece alert! 

  So boring, so needlessly noisy. All of the “tension” and “chaos” we see in the trailer ends up being repetition of the same 3 issues, long shots of Lorne disassociating, and monologue after monologue of exposition, insisting on the miracle that is the 50th anniversary. The countdown really took me out of the flow of the story, and all of the characters seemed sanitized by the same people writing in a villain from Standards…?
