The Brutalist 2024
I really need to take a long time to fully unpack this and everything in it before i can really write a review. just an absolutely massive film, incredible performances from everyone involved. I'm absolutely for the vista vision revival, this was easily the most visually rewarding films i've watched in a long time.

I have to get out of the way the couple of things I did like about the movie. The soundtrack was killer, deserved 2.5 for the Right here waiting for you bit alone. I liked the B&W sequences and the animated bits, that to me felt weird and silly and in line with the tone of the original film.
That aside, there’s so many things to talk about, the complete change up in Lydia’s character, the unnecessary Monica Bellucci plot…

With just the opening shots of retro futuristic technology, Alien was so back. It felt like it fit right in with the rest of the franchise in terms of tone.
