While the initial mystery does not last long, the engagement comes in the fact of which whether the obviously hinted at events will happen or not. While it does build tension, it has peaks and valleys of it. This does produce some scenes in which I feel are very memorable.

Movie was definitely revolutionary for its time, especially with the well-known scene of the city turning over on itself. Despite my love for this movie, I can't not say that the main charm hasn't worn down after many years of similar levels of production in movies after, and ever improving tech. I wouldn't quite say it's a flaw, at many points the scenery is integrated into the action and such in a way where it isn't there for merely shock…
