When I first heard about the concept of this film, I was super-excited, as the Beatles are my all-time favorite band. Overall, I loved the Beatles plot, the Beatles songs, and the tension that Jack felt at being showered with praise for songs that he didn't write.

Himesh Patel was fab and a worthy imitator of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. He carried the anguish of the moral dilemma, particularly in his manic, stand out performance of "Help." I also…

I completely understand the disappointment. I do wish that they had followed through on some of the risks that they undertook. The return of Palpatine was derivative and poorly handled. Why put it in the crawl (cringe) only to have Poe awkwardly deliver the news (cringe again)? The first half seemed hurried, and there were with needless Macguffins and useless cameos and underutilized characters. O, that we could see the full Abrams cut or even the Trevorrow version!

Terrifying! My college roommate lost his house and cars; only the chimney was standing. We drove down to help him, but there was nothing salvageable. Total devastation.

Deducted a half-star for the last title card, a ridiculous red herring howler.

I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard "You Oughta Know". Immediately bought the CD.

A remarkable film, written and produced (and cinematograpy-ed) by my pastor and friend, Ritchey Cable, during his "spare time." The credits are packed with many familiar names, so I'm obviously biased, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself during the screening.

I savored the puzzle as each piece was slowly revealed, leading up to the final twist. At various points, I thought I had solved the mystery, only to be stymied by the next scene.

    As a once professional theologian, I appreciated…

Dreadfully long and pretentious. So, it was all the janitor's imagination or something? BFD, Lynch did it with flourish; this was just boring.
