I really enjoyed this. Woody gives a powerful and emotional performance. 
Score and cinematography are top notch. Perfect balance of silence that makes you feel like you’re at the bottom of the ocean. I’d be curious if there’s a similar impact with watching at home. 
Some of the writing felt elementary and I wish they gave us more. 
I think the ending was very impactful. It could have been more impactful if they didn’t start the film with “based on a true story”….

Star studded cast that delivers on their roles. Special shoutouts to Rob Pattinson, Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette, and Steven Yeun. These four carried the entire film. 
Felt like the plot was missing something. Very cool premise but I wasn’t enthralled in the experience. 
Cinematography was very well done. 
Not great not terrible. Glad this film was made and I got to see it.

I’m not saying we forgive Kevin spacey but this film goes into his ‘pros’ column.

Very good. Curious how this will pan out as Garland lands more writing + directing roles. 
Lost a star because I think there could have easily been 20 more minutes of screen time on the landscape they were traveling through. Modern civil war impacts on our the environment weren’t a huge focus. 
Kristen Dunst was perfect.
