Could’ve done without a lot of the first 30 minutes, got the point pretty quickly, but once the henchmen showed up this kicked into high gear. Performances were all fantastic and hilarious.

Gladiator II 2024
Banger. Ridley Scott is an almost 90 year old madman and was in his bag all movie. Takes the action and set pieces of the original + all the good parts of Napoleon and cranks them up. Well paced and tense throughout. The plot is a little derivative of the original but there’s enough variation to keep things interesting. Could’ve smoothed out the details a little but it’s a Gladiator sequel, you get what you want. Did we need Gladiator II? Probably not, but I’m glad it exists.
It’s impossible to not be entertained by insane action, sharks in the colosseum, unhinged Denzel and evil twins!

Solid watch. This is an example of the rare original Hollywood blockbuster. Fun mix of action/horror/romance/sci-fi with a little too much going on. The movie would’ve been a good bit worse without Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy who carry a lot. Would’ve been cooler in theaters
