The Strange Thing About the Johnsons 2011
So this is the kind of script that can only work out for the director. The actors are seen. Poor Billy Mayo cause the bravery it takes to take on this role is, whew man. If I ever met him or anyone in this film it’s the first thing I’m gonna remember.
(No stars, not cause this is poorly done. Quite the opposite. It’s just so subversive and thought provoking it transcends a rating and I’m wrestling with if it’s in a good or bad way.)

High Fidelity 2000
I love this film. Always have. It doesn’t break the rules of conventional movie making, in fact it follows the rules pretty closely. It’s just relatable storytelling. I loved it when I was 16 and I still love it today. All I ever wanted to do with my life was be a underwhelmed curmudgeon who owned their own record store. Well done.
