Why do so many music biopics barely show the musicians actually compose the music and writing?? Why not portray some of the best musicians in the world to struggle coming up with some of the most iconic songs??
It's very easy to connect to these characters instead of musicians like Bob Dylan automatically knowing how to sing or how to play guitar.

Wow this film is so full of itself.
Whilst Lea Seaydoux carries the film and is perfectly cast as France de Maura, it’s hard to take the film seriously with any of the characters and the subplots.
Rarly does any of the subplots conclude, just randomly ends and never being mentioned again, making it feel so pointless as to why it exists. It’s left so unsatisfying and no real impact by the end of the film.

I'm honestly quite shocked...the fact I got a chance to watch this film and to witness the magnitude of something like this is amazing.
Films like these rarely get made unless you're Christopher Nolan. Almost 4 hours long, made by a relatively up-and-coming director (Brady Corbet), and on a relatively low budget, surely this film shouldn't work. And yet everything came together to create one of the best film portrayals of ambition, power, greed, and ego of this year.
