I watched this when I was younger so it’s cool going back into it and actually picking up on all the plot pieces I missed growing up while also following the absurdity of movies made around this time. 

A lot goofier than I remembered it! Not that that’s a problem. I love the portrayal of Bruce Wayne being a bit sassy, a bit sad, charmingly brilliant without being a showoff, but also a bit of an airhead.

I don’t know how interested I am in the next phase of Marvel. The formulas ultimately stay the same, which is predictable, but I stay for the characters. I think Marvel struggles with finding a balance when they have characters with a core personality trait. This is a movie I’ve held off on watching for a while because I didn’t think I would like it as much as I thought I would and I was unfortunately right. The filmmakers went in circles in their actions, conversation, and then literally when they got lost. Annoying to listen to for 90 minutes. Picks up a little in the last 15 minutes, but not enough to make the watch feel worth it.
