I keep thinking abt the white tunnel scene, an entrance into acidic heaven. The sacrilegious mortician opening the eyes of the dead. The final tears of the pre rigor mortis cathedral. Violence is the antithesis of the radiating city whose lights serve only to manipulate. Violence that seeks to peel away the layers of love and vengeance. I was a big fan of De Niro in this.

One Way or Another 1975
So so so good, the reality of the revolution after the revolution is laid bare. Specifically the psychology of the revolution. Reconstructing the way education engages with community while understanding the social struggles of yesterday can not be alleviated. The re education of a traumatized and healing generation is not fluid, this movie is entirely hinged around addressing the bizarre expectation for that to be the case. Very very human filmmaking I loved this tbh
