Went in completely prepared to be totally neutral on this, having no meaningful connection to Dylan and his music. Was immediately sucked in by Timothee Chalamet’s performance however, which is what a true Star does. Equally convincing as the curious hopeful 20 year old and the disengaged mega famous contrarian. He’s great; he never gets the Oscar reel moment where the wheels come off and he lets loose, but that’s not what the movie tells us who Dylan is. He…
