I think the film is being a little harshly treated. Sure, it’s saccharine at times, and it’s very paint-by-numbers, but it’s fine.
On the other hand, Razzie Award Winner 2026 Gal Gadot needs to be more harshly treated. This isn’t even a case of her being given bad lines, she just delivers them horribly. The character had potential with a halfway decent actress.
Patrick Page and Titus Burgess should have been allowed to sing. Gal Gadot should not.
Flow is a wonderful film. Calling a movie “an achievement” usually makes me roll my eyes—it’s such a cliché of film criticism. But in this case, I’m not sure how else to describe it. The film takes a dialogue-free journey of a cat and fills it with more character development and emotion than many films packed with words. There’s more depth in the meows, barks, and squeaks here than in some entire scripts. Looking at you, Sony.
