I haven't felt this unsettled in a long time which is why this film is a 3 1/2 for me bc I don't think I would ever watch it again.

"He grew more and more enamoured of his own beauty, more and more interested in the corruption of his own soul. He would examine with minute care, and sometimes with a monstrous and terrible delight, the hideous lines that seared the wrinkling forehead or crawled around the heavy, sensual mouth, wondering sometimes which were the more horrible, the signs of sin or the signs of age." (Oscar Wilde)
I couldn't help but think about this quote during the parallel scene of Trump's surgery and Roy Cohn's funeral. While Trump clings to power and image, there’s an underlying decay and emptiness symbolized by Cohn’s death.

This film impacted me in a deep level. It had some of the deepest raw dialogue I have ever heard. You truly get so immersed in the film and the characters. It delivers some of the best performances from Sandra Huller and a child actor of 2023. I loved the mixture of a docu style film with a drama. What a great film.

This might be bc i read the book but the pacing was off and there were too many Dutch angles but the casting was amazing!!!! Loved everyone's performances and enjoyed the movie overall. Just wished they hadn't glossed over some important details
