Late Night with the Devil 2023
It had such a fresh concept of storytelling, especially in horror. It crossed so many lines, and it was just delightful. Unsettling from start to finish (that's how I know it's good).
However, while the buildup for the first hour was solid as fuck, the climax felt rushed and underwhelming.
Spoiler Warning:
That peak demonic possession-rampage at the end felt almost ridiculous, especially with how the entity was presented. That was certainly a choice, good for them, just not for me though.Still giving it 5 stars because I do what I want. It's still a good film of its genre.

Soul 2020
Soul reminds me of my mortality. It reminds me what it's like to be human: to eat, to breathe, to wake up, to feel the wind caress my face, to hear my stomach rumbling, to smell rained-over grass in the morning, all these little things ground me, and Soul reminds me of that.
