  I’d give the first half of the film 5,, it’s like a sterile and beautiful commercial selling the idealisms of youth. Second half gets a little too ‘out of reality’ and wacky for me lol. The final bloodshed scene was metal asf tho

  This movie was so beautifully shot and both the b&w and colour film felt so rich. I’ve heard people say Bradley Cooper was overacting but looking at Bernstein in real life he caries over many of the same mannerism. The ‘overacting’ ties in a lot with the play like sequencing and was very performative. The music was beautiful especially in the cinema (in particular the longer composing scene towards the end of the movie). The storyline was also intriguing and had a great balance of following the narrative of both Leonard and Felicia. Loved it
