Coming to America 1988
I have watched this movie once a year probably every year of my life. Over the years, the warm fuzzy nostalgia mostly took the edge off of my burgeoning awareness of the crassness (every intersection of human identities is dealt an unfortunately aged joke). Such is the 80’s 😔 // also the world building and the comedy and sincerity of the characters is wholly unique to the time period. Such is the 80’s 😌
