This movie marks my 100th movie since starting Letterbox and I could not have picked a better film
I chose to go with one of my favorite childhood movies, Rio (as you can probably tell), as I haven’t watched it in many years. There will definitely be some bias, but as with most childhood films of mine, on rewatch, the movies either hold up or disappoint. And I am glad to say that this movie exceeds all expectations.

Is this movie perfect? Noooo… Is it a little campy and predictable at times? Yessss… Is it enjoyable to watch and overall a fun time? Yes!! And that’s what really matters. I’m the biggest fan of fantasy (not yet at least) but it captures the essence just right in a fun, family adventure

This movie is really just… 50/50. Humor is a hit or miss. The deaths are cool or too goofy (not in a good way). I like the tone half the time and the other half I don’t. Etc, etc. It has some fun stuff in it but it doesn’t always hit for me
