i watched this on a plane (bad format for this movie because i think the beauty of the scenery and peacefulness of the theatre would have made the message sit more) but i had been wanting to see it for a while and hadn’t gotten the chance. it’s a really troubling film while also being really beautiful. it came out at such an interesting time. i think everyone should watch this movie.

i loved this movie but my family hated it. maybe i enjoy crying. it was long but i liked that it took up a lot of my evening and i didn’t need another activity. the seats in the theatre were squeaky.

Poor Things 2023
so i love an artificial human being from pygmalion to the golem to frankenstein to the sandman but this movie was vulgar for the sake of being vulgar. i did find her to be super intriguing in some ways she’s like frankensteins monster in her intelligence but she has people in her life so she never becomes evil in her lonesomeness. in other ways she isn’t emotional almost like the golem just doing what is instructed. i liked how there is a religious undertone but the middle hour of this movie was unnecessary.
