just a great film about a crazy psychological thriller.
everything is normal until their car hits a deer a very clear bad omen of the bad time ahead for him
the cinematography is insane in this film, it was beautiful. a film where you might not understand what is going on so a rewatch is perfect.

one of my all time favourites, two amazing actors (Morgan and Brad). the seven deadly sins imagery through out the movie so well done, overall the movie is quite morbid but it's portrayal is quite sensitive with no glamorisation.
the pace of the movie is slow, it gets increasingly harder to guess what is happening, it is a detailed movie. and, the best part, and you can ask anyone - the ending. truly worthwhile thriller.

you can't go wrong with a movie that has Morgan Freeman in it, the friendship and bond Red and Andy had was inspirational. it goes into detail of what happened in their past and what had lead them to be in prison in the first place. Morgan's narration of the experience of being a prisoner is raw, and so realistic and relatable to how lonely prison life is.
best scene? Andy using his privileges to get some cold beers for Red and his friends when they were working on the roof.
