    I found this to be a very self-aware and sensitive portrayal of gender-based violence that stems from the radicalisation of young men. The absolute skill in the production, there’s not a minute in the four-hour runtime of the show where you want to glance at a watch and check the time. It felt important watching it.

    This was like if Horrible Histories and Sex Education had a very strange and horny 13th century Italian teenager. This was an insane watch and I vibed too hard close to the sun with it.

    Casting was great, I don’t know how it works but it does? 

    Special shoutout to the production designers and costumers, I felt immersed in a plague world. That being said, the fake dead people / body parts / blood and guts – completely unrealistic but again worked great because it was GAS.

    Billed as a black comedy, this film tries to be part-historical drama, part comedy, yet succeeds at neither.

    As a viewer, it felt like the film went through a number of directors and editors before making it to cinemas.
