Watched this film after Anora. In the beginning, I thought this looked like a sequel of Anora. It shows what happened to someone after their dreams fall apart. But, throughout the film, I don't think his dreams were completely destroied. Differently of Anora, he's a man. He can always take advantage of the privilege he has over women, and he's also blaming them for his failures.

Despite many people were talking in the period she was announced in the role, Halle Bailey has proved to be the right decision. Her voice is undeniably incredible. Her acting skills fits perfectly with what's required here.

I spent the whole season wanting for some plot twist to prove the boy was innocent. I wouldn't have complained if the girl was abducted by an alien, or whatever. It would be an much easier ending to diggest than that (although I had a feeling the story would lead to that way, even before watching the first episode).

So good to be reminded that the passion I once devoted to Marvel had a reason. Recent releases, even though they gave us Agatha All Along and other moments I genuinely enjoyed, feel like a disservice to the storytelling we've been following since 2008. Lately, I've been questioning if the love and enthusiasm I once felt for superhero adaptations were just a phase. Maybe, as I'm getting older, my appreciation for Marvel is fading as a sign of maturity.
