Sing Street 2016
Original music, coming of age weird ass kids join a band to impressed a girl. Solid stuff. A big part of what I loved about it was a real representation of the roles of older siblings and the roles they play for their younger siblings. The older brother did have the moment of envy, but at the end he wanted his brother to do what he never could do, or didn’t have the chance too. I loved It ❤️

“Because I wanted you to know” wowwowowowow. Timothee Chálame has range- in the beginning I thought that I could only see him as The Lisa Al Gaib- but wow. His performance took me away. Not only was this film beautiful but it really made me think about my first queer relationship/ how confused elated and scared I was. Cinematically stunning- reminds me of the way I felt after watching Broke Back Mountain- devastated, in awe, and holding my queerness close. …
