Substance? More like no substance. This movie fails to establish any emotional drive, so watching it feels like watching a comic book movie unfold. It’s a graphic cacophony of colour and text, but without any gravity behind it. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters. The quick editing and sharp cuts distract too much from the actual narrative to the point where it feels like a snappy commercial. What is this film about? Is it actually against the Hollywood obsession with youth and beauty? Because somehow it frames aging as the most horrific and grotesque outcome.
