The Queen's Gambit 2020
Even with Chess only being an infrequent pass-time for me, The Queen's Gambit was still captivating. The portrayal of chess-culture was interesting enough to allow for a full anticipation of single chess matches, but where the show truly shined was in detailing Beth's inner struggles. This show feels less about Chess specifically, and more about the grandeur of victory after each trial and challenge.
