Very disappointed with Emilia Perez. I expected more from Jacques Audiard, but the film falls flat. The story is overly simple, with a clichéd, rushed ending. The musical elements feel out of place—only a couple of songs resonate emotionally, while the rest disrupt the flow.
The plot is interesting but poorly developed, and the excessive number of songs leaves little room for character depth. Visually, the film is unremarkable and fails to evoke strong emotions.
The casting is excellent, and the acting is solid, but that’s about all it has going for it.
