A Dog Called Money 2019
This film made me deeply uncomfortable.
At 16:08 I resigned myself to the fact that I would strongly dislike this film. The songs feel disingenuous because they are trying to convey a "reality" or truth from a point of view Harvey cannot possibly have. She is not singing as a witness but an imitator.
It feels very uncomfortable to be a viewer dragged into this voyeuristic journey. Juxtapositioning the songs right next to the places, people and situations draw inspiration…
