Taxi Driver 1976
A rather interesting film that I think is worth a rewatch at some point. I enjoyed how sobering and grim it was in reminding us that we all have darkness inside us and that our actions and the way we behave often stem from idealized images of ourselves that we create in our heads.

I don’t think a movie has ever rocked me to my core like this one did. Words don’t do it justice. Nolan hit a grand slam here. Possibly the best movie I’ve ever seen if not at least in the conversation. It’s got an incredibly important and relevant message and it’s delivered so well. Don’t waste any more time, go watch it. This also greatly overshadowed the more meaningful message, in my opinion, about the unrealistic standards of beauty men and women strive to attain in society and not feeling lesser if you can’t reach them.
