  Tora! Tora! Tora! is one of the best historical movies ever made. Granted, in its effort to stick to the facts as much as possible, it may discourage viewers with its prolonged first part, which extensively covers the diplomatic moves of both Japan and the United States. I personally found said part very engaging, as the tension is masterfully built and you get familiar with the many characters involved.

  This movie suffers from a lack of focus more than anything: one moment it's trying to make you laugh while in the next scene you should mourn the death of a character; it's not handeld gracefully enough to succeed. Disappointed.
