Watched this at 1 AM and was gripped by the mid-century gay yearning. Ended up on a Wikipedia deep-dive for an hour afterward. Great use of symbolism to string a narrative out of a film with no dialogue. Also fascinating to see overt homoeroticism from the 1950’s
