  In its best moments, it's a fairly heartwarming buddy dramedy. In its worst moments, it's an infuriating example of typecasting with two obnoxious characters who are insufferable for entirely different reasons, but not insufferable enough to be compelling.

  I stand by what I said in my first review regarding stale social commentary, but after a rewatch, I have a little more respect for Spree.

  I found this to be even more engaging on a second viewing, and the lead's performance felt more personal once I was able to focus on many of the background details. This also gives me a greater appreciation for Searching and its many background storylines.
