Stunning visuals that constantly had me wondering, "How did they achieve THAT effect??"
Unfortunately, the themes get pretty bonkers near the end, culminating in a finale that seems like a return to status quo that's worse for almost every faction involved.
A visual delight, but don't look too closely at the messaging.
Some pretty good looney tunes style hijinks. There's a reason most looney tunes skits are 100 minutes long.
The Independence Day gag is gold, but this movie fell short of its predecessor. Many of the jokes felt dated, and the plot was clearly just an avenue for more jokes. Vanessa's arc (as well as Austin's) was undone in the first 2 minutes in order to put the hero back where he was in the first movie.
