The sflix subtitles were horrendous tho :( , always super late or not even showing up. Hopefully his other films will have better ones.
The first time I watched this film was in grade 9 and I loved it. However, once I rewatched it I did not enjoy it at all. While the visual aspect of the film is objectively good, the over sexualization of Matilda just made me uncomfortable. I understand some argue it was a trauma response to her upbringing, which it probably was, but I believe it was too much. Her dressing up as sex symbols like Marylin Monroe, was unnecessary.…
