If only every Star Wars project was taken as seriously as this shit. This is the best live action Star Wars project Disney has ever made.
On rewatch the first 4 eps still aren’t anything crazy or special, but man eps 5-7, and especially 8-12 are so fucking good. This is honestly barely a 4.5 but im just slapping it on cuz the last 5 eps are so fucking good and I know szn 2 boutta be even better.
Need more Bix in szn 2. She’s awesome.
Really fun and has some good commentary, but fuck I’m kinda disappointed. I loved the first hour and 20ish minutes, but i didn’t love the second half.
This movie was at its best when it was dealing with its sociopolitical commentary and world building, which is what the first half mostly consisted of. But the last stretch just felt like they wasted the potential of what they set up at the beginning.
Mickey was also a great character that clearly had layers, but they weren’t explored nearly enough.
Still really like this movie tho, just wanted more.
Oh and Anamaria Vartolomei is fine.

This movie is good wtf are y’all on. I swear mfs just don’t like movies anymore.
There’s a lot to say about this movie, and yeah its got some real issues, but man i really fw this movie. It’s got good character work, an interconnected and engaging plot (that finally addresses ignored plot points in the mcu and connects them), a solid thematic core and great action (but there’s definitely some wonky moments).
Also I just fucking love Isaiah man, he’s the boy.

Yeah it would’ve worked better as a mini series so that all of the plot points and characters were satisfyingly developed, but this shit is still damn good. I lowkey feel bad for the mfs who don’t like this because there’s genuinely so much good stuff in this movie narratively and visually. Stacked ass cast too.
