  Okay it is exceedingly clear that Fernanda Torres should win Best Actress

  I’m Still Here is chiefly concerned with memory: not just remembering smaller, mundane moments that can be captured on celluloid, but remembering larger periods of violent and oppressive history (making the condition of Eunice at the end of the film all the more tragic). Fascism creeps until it arrives on your doorstep and irreparably changes your life — a really important work in 2025
