The Secret of Kells 2009
Didn’t click with the story as much with this one, but I adored Wolfwalkers and really dig this studio’s style and the way they’re using it to bring Irish folklore to life. Excited to check out more of their stuff, hope they branch out from the whole “headstrong child living in a heavily guarded community surrounded by walls sneaks into the mysterious forest and allies with a fierce young girl who can transform into a wolf (against the will of an overly protective parental figure) culminating in an epic battle representing opposing ideals of nature and civilization” archetype tho
