I just realized this movie is structured in the exact same manner as Fedé’s Evil Dead movie. A cast of not too deeply developed characters save for a thoroughly ‘othered’ character that struggles to connect with the rest of the cast (the addict sister in Evil Dead, the android brother in Alien Romulus) and eventually become possessed (the addict via demons, the android via his program update).
