Blue Velvet 1986
The individual elements of this movie made me want to give it a 3.5. But idk, the sum of their parts elevated it to a 4 because it’s just so good at transporting you into this weird, disturbing underbelly of the world which it builds.
Plus, it left me in this weird pensive mood so effortlessly. If anything, it deserves a nod for that
