All the people in the neighbourhood know him. He goes through a euphoric phase in the beginning and people love him but gradually as reality settles in and his erotic whimsical outlook is detached from the bitter perception people seem to have of him, we question why he owes people money, why people feel betrayed by him. His excitement to swim home gives him a childlike charisma, the same disposition that makes him unreliable and irresponsible. He returns to a dilapidated home. No wife or kids, he was delusional, the alcoholic high came to an end and reality kicked in, the delusion is over.
