Bones and All 2022
There are very few horror love stories that I enjoy and Bones and All takes first place. This film encapsulates the feelings of new love, albeit in a very dark, but intriguing way. I love how the film dives beyond themes of a burgeoning love and into deeper theory of family ties. We aren’t guaranteed a family to love us, but we can choose who we let in. Cannibalism as a metaphor for love isn’t a new concept, but brilliantly pulled together in this relationally exploratory film.
